From the Framer's Table
I would like to welcome you to my blog for Cornerstone Custom Picture Framing and Gallery. As a framer and gallery owner I get to see such interesting artwork everyday, and would love this chance to share some of it with you. Also, I hope this will bring awareness to the art and craft of the framing process itself and give you ideas of how to frame your own special artwork and memorabilia.

First Anniversary!
Congratulations to Tracey and Trevor McDonald who just celebrated their first wedding anniversary last month! Putting together a frame for a first anniversary is such a great idea as there has been time for the couple to choose their absolute favorite photograph and time to really think about what size/style they would like the piece to be and where they want to display it.What I have seen happen in the past is that in the excitement right after a wedding a couple might decide they want a poster size portrait of themselves to hang in the living room, and a year later realize they would have loved to invest in custom framing a photograph that was much smaller and included the family/wedding party for example. This is a case where procrastination can actually pay off!
Anyone who knows Trev and Tracey would not be surprised that they chose a photo with their friends and family all around them. The mat has been signed by the wedding guests and will be a beautiful feature in their home. They love to entertain and I'm sure all their friends and family will enjoy looking at this picture as much as they do!
The frame is a charcoal colour in a style called "Fairhaven" which blends rustic and traditional elements together which is a very popular trend in framing these days. The piece is simply matted in white with reflection control glass. A shout out to Peter Classen Photography, what a great moment he captured!
